43 Hoops over Pump n Run - Ryan James

Postby mjmuch » Tue Jun 15, 2010 12:46 pm

"Last night's highly anticipated contest between 43 Hoops and Minnesota Pump N Run brought all the intensity and physicality that one would expect. The game truly separated the men from the boys with every shot a contested one, every drive met with strong help defense, and every turnover meant an easy score for the opposition the other way."

Siyani Chambers - Hopkins - from Ryan James

Postby mjmuch » Tue Jun 22, 2010 12:07 am

"Finding a good point guard can be a serious problem for a lot of colleges. Quality lead guards are few and far between. With that said, one guy that seems like a sure bet to get strong recruiting interest is Hopkins point guard Siyani Chambers. Siyani hasn't even played as an upperclassmen yet but he's already handled for a state champion and led the Pulley Panther 17s to a 23-4 mark on the season."

Mr. Basketball lunch - Slide Show and story

Postby mjmuch » Sat Jul 03, 2010 11:10 pm

"Minnesota's Kevin Noreen was home from West Virginia this weekend and sat down with his family as well as High School and AAU coaches to recieve his Mr. Basketball awards from Ken Lien who has directed the Minnesota Mr. Basketball program for over 30 years.

Kevin was originally slated to attend Boston College. After coaching changes at BC Kevin obtained a release and was welcomed with open arms at West Virginia. Kevin and his family were very impressed with WV Coach Huggins. The respect and strong relationship between Huggins and his players were just what the Noreen's were looking for in a basketball program."
