Perham dominate?? Sorry, not gonna happen. They have a shot to win but no team will dominate. It'll be close between them, Hawley, DGF. As for Cavanaugh, he's a solid player no doubt, but he's not near the level of his cousins yet.

In a side note, the conf. has been won by a player named Taylor for the past 3 or 4 years I believe. T. Cav I can't remember if he won two years in a row or just senior year. Then Taylor Henrickson from B-ville the past two years. There's a chance that could continue this year with Taylor Frank from Battle Lake.

I have no doubts about Taylor Frank. Solid competitor and fairly level-headed when it comes to staying out of trouble on a hole. Perham will win the conference because of their depth. Hawley and MAYBE DGF have a chance to take a few meets, but in the end Perham will have too much separation by the time the HOL meet rolls around. It's not a knock on any of the other conference teams to pick Perham. They are coached to win at all costs, and for the most part they have done that over the course of the last 10 years.

I'd have to agree with Perham winning now that Hawley's two best guys decided to just stick with baseball. Although I see Hawley did only lose by two strokes so it looks like it'll be another good season, hopefully one where we won't know who wins until the final meet.

Watch out for the Eden Prairie Eagles in 3A, they have surprisingly beaten Chaska in the last two Lake Conference tournaments. Consistently posting 310 or below.

I agree Coach K. Kid has tons of experience going to state the last two years and he's golfing 24/7. Expect him to get to state and do well.
